Details
Double click on the !Wator icon to load it onto the icon bar.
Clicking 'Menu' on the bar icon brings up a menu, from which the 'SetUp' panel can be selected.
Select options from the 'SetUp' panel and then click on the 'OK' icon. !Wator then displays a simulation of a toroidal Wator planet with breeding sharks and fishes. The fishes die when they are eaten, and the sharks starve if they have not fed for a selectable time period. Both move around a series a cells in a grid, the size of which is selectable.
The idea for this came from 'The Armchair Universe' by A.K.Dewdney (Freeman 1988).
Additional Help is available from the bar icon menu, or by using the Acorn facility !Help, present in the 'Apps' directory.
Clicking 'Show Graph' either from the Wator window or bar icon menu, causes a rolling plot to appear, which traces the size of both the shark (in blue) and fish (in red) populations.
Read the 'ReadMe1st' file present in the zipped file for more information, and the file 'ReadMe' within the application (double click over the application icon with 'Shift' held down to find it), for conditions of use.
Version 2.00 should be 32-bit compatible.
