IntroductionPowerful 2D CAD System for RISC OS
Details
Release 9a is the latest version of this popular 2D CAD system. Release 9a is the first real update since RiscCAD was taken back from APDL. New features include an impressive on-the-fly snap, which uses two cursors to show the current mouse position, and the prospective snap position.
Another major feature is the ability to open multiple views on each drawing. This is a major advancement for RiscCAD, as it was originally developed with single window operation. RiscCAD can create split views, overviews and detail views. Each view can be scaled and panned separately, and displays the cursors and current object being drawn or edited. It is also possible to draw from one view to another, there is even an option to automatically change the active view as the mouse enters the view window.
Other additions include isometric and oblique grids, configurable crosshair cursor angle, isometric circles, intersection snap, dynamically displayed array constructions, datum dimensions, two new circle dimension styles, additions to patterning and hatching, support for interactive help, text search and more.
