Details
DirSync is a program to compare two directories. The result is presented in
a window where you can filter some type of differences, for example only different files, or only files that are newer in the source directory.
In the compare window are icons to manipulate the synchronise direction, and if they should be synchronised at all. If you've changed these things to your satisfaction, you can press the "Synchronise" button and the synchronising will comm
ence.
It is also possible to start a file-difference viewer from the compare files.
Although there are some other programs that synchronise two directories, this is, to my knowledge, the first one to allow you to see the differences in the way DirSync does. In fact this feature is one of the most important ones for me. I often use D
irSync myself just to compare two directorystructures, not even to
synchronise them.
DirSync is almost freeware, but not quite. You must send me a mail
that you're using DirSync if you decide to leave it on your harddisc. Well, that's not too much to ask, now is it?
